As soon as you know you will be moving you should make an appointment with your local Personal Property Shipping Office if you will not be doing a do it yourself move. You will have to make your own plans if your military moving will be done on your own. Another thing you should do is to let your landlord know you will be moving. Then start looking for new housing near your next duty station. You can start doing this about 3 months before your move.
