A breakfast nook is actually very different from the standard concept of an expansive dining set. The most relevant factor in their design is to take advantage of shortage of space, so they are designed to ergonometrically make the most efficient possible use of space where it is lacking. The wall settee goes into a corner, and the entire arrangement fits neatly into a little cubby hole and turns it into a charming dining table.
